Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical, Biochemical, Petroleum, Process, Mechanical, Materials, Energy, Metallurgical Engineering or allied disciplines with a valid GATE score.
• M.E./M.Tech. in the above disciplines.
• M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics/Materials Science/Energy Science or allied disciplines with a valid NET/GATE/JEST/INSPIRE qualification (as listed on ISRO Research Fellowships).

Minimum Marks: 60% aggregate or CGPA/CPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale.

Age Limit

• General: 28 years
• OBC: 31 years
• SC/ST: 33 years
• PwD: Relaxation as per rules

Age calculated as on 01.04.2026.

Nature of Work

The project focuses on shaping porous Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for VOC removal in space applications. Work distribution includes:

• Molecular simulation & thermodynamics modelling: 60–70%
• Data science: 15–20%
• Experiments: 15–20%

This research has direct linkages to India’s space programme, including Gaganyaan and Bharatiya Antariksha Station missions.
