The Directorate of Women and Child Development, Madhya Pradesh has issued official instructions dated 03 June 2025 regarding the recruitment process of Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers through the MP Online Portal.
As per the Government of Madhya Pradesh (WCD Department) directives (Ref. No. 820/2133058/24/50-2, dated 23 May 2025), a new set of guidelines has been released to streamline the recruitment process. The recruitment will now be conducted entirely online via the Selection Portal developed by MP Online.

Vacancy Data Collection & Advertisement Process
A. Vacancy Data Collection
- Project Officers will log in to the MP Online portal and select sector-wise vacant posts of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers.
- After selection, the vacancy data will be displayed at the District Programme Officer’s login for verification.
- If there is any doubt regarding vacancy status, the District Programme Officer may return the data to the Project Officer for correction.
- Once verified, the vacancy status will be visible at the Project Officer, District Programme Officer, Divisional Joint Director, and Directorate levels.
- This process ensures that consolidated vacancy data is available across the state on the MP Online portal.
B. Advertisement of Vacancies
- Recruitment will be conducted twice a year:
- For vacancies arising between 1 January – 30 June, recruitment will begin in October of the previous year.
- For vacancies arising between 1 July – 31 December, recruitment will begin in April of the same year.
- Advertisements will be published in a maximum of three newspapers per district through the Directorate of Public Relations.
- Advertisements will include details such as district-wise vacancies, last date and time for applications, eligibility criteria, and educational qualifications.
- Copies of advertisements will also be displayed on notice boards at:
- District Collector’s office
- Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat
- Municipal Corporation/ Municipality/ Nagar Parishad offices
- Project Officer’s office and Gram Panchayat offices
- Simultaneously, vacancy details will be displayed on the MP Online portal, initiating the online application process.
- Applicants must upload all required documents in PDF format. Only documents submitted with the application will be considered valid.
Application Fee & Merit List Preparation
C. Application Fee
The application fee for Anganwadi Worker and Helper posts has been fixed at ₹100 + 18% GST (₹118 total). This fee must be paid by the applicant while submitting the online application through the MP Online portal.
D. Interim Merit List Preparation
- MP Online will prepare an interim merit list for each Anganwadi centre based on the entries provided in the application forms.
- The interim list will be generated automatically from the application data; document verification will not be conducted at this stage.
- The interim list will be accessible only to the Project Officer and the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) through their login credentials.
- After publication of the interim list, the Project Officer will coordinate with the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) to schedule a meeting of the Block-level Selection Committee.

E. Block-level Selection Committee Meeting
- The interim merit list prepared by MP Online will be presented in the Block-level Selection Committee meeting.
- The committee will review the list and, if necessary, examine the documents uploaded on the MP Online portal.
- Decisions will be based on the entries in the application forms and the documents submitted by candidates.
- If discrepancies are found (e.g., marks mentioned in the application differ from the marksheet, or required documents are missing), the committee may recommend modifications.
- Such modifications will only be made on the basis of the signed proceedings of the committee meeting, which must be uploaded by the Project Officer to the portal.
- No changes beyond those recorded in the official proceedings will be accepted.
E.3 Provisional Merit List Publication
- After uploading the committee’s signed proceedings and making necessary corrections, MP Online will publish the Provisional Merit List centre-wise.
- The Project Officer will ensure that the provisional list is displayed at:
- Block-level offices
- Gram Panchayat offices
- Urban ward offices
- A formal record (Panchanama) will be prepared to confirm that the list has been publicly displayed.
Claims/Objections on the Provisional Merit List
F. Filing Claims/Objections
- If a candidate is not satisfied with the Provisional Merit List published centre-wise on the MP Online portal, they may submit a claim/objection online.
- Claims/objections can only be filed by the concerned applicants through the MP Online portal; no offline submissions will be accepted.
- Only documents already submitted with the application will be considered valid for objections. No new documents can be introduced at this stage.
- If any document was overlooked during merit calculation (e.g., marksheet, BPL card), the applicant may raise a claim to ensure proper consideration.
- Applicants may also submit objections against candidates listed in the provisional merit list by providing supporting documents already uploaded during application.
F.5 Timeline for Objections
All claims/objections must be submitted within 7 days from the date of publication of the Provisional Merit List on the MP Online portal. Late submissions will not be entertained.

G. Resolution of Claims/Objections
- The Project Officer will prepare factual notes on each claim/objection based on the documents submitted with the application and forward them to the District Programme Officer.
- The District Programme Officer will arrange a meeting of the District-level Objection Resolution Committee under the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat.
- MP Online will provide login credentials to the District Programme Officer and CEO, District Panchayat to review objections and the provisional merit list.
- The committee will resolve objections strictly on the basis of documents already submitted with the application and those available on the MP Online portal.
- Any changes to the provisional merit list will be made only on the basis of the signed proceedings of the committee meeting, which must be uploaded to the portal.
G.5 Final Merit List Publication
- After incorporating approved changes, the District Programme Officer will update the portal, and MP Online will publish the Final Merit List centre-wise.
- The final list will be displayed at:
- District-level offices (Collector, CEO District Panchayat, Municipal Corporation/Municipality/Nagar Parishad)
- District Programme Officer’s office
- Block-level offices (Project Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue, Tehsil, Janpad Panchayat)
- Gram Panchayat and urban ward offices
- For centres where no objections were received, the District Programme Officer will approve the list directly, and the Project Officer will issue appointment orders within the prescribed timeline.
- Where objections were resolved, the District Programme Officer will forward the final list within 2 days to the Project Officer, who must issue appointment orders within 1 day.
Appeals Against the Final Merit List
H. Appeal Process
- If any candidate is not satisfied with the Final Merit List issued for the recruitment of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, they may file an appeal.
- Appeals can be submitted to the Collector or the Divisional Commissioner within the prescribed time frame as per recruitment guidelines.
- The appeal must be filed in accordance with the rules and procedures laid down in the official recruitment instructions.
