UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 – Ambedkar Nagar District Notification, Eligibility, and Online Application

Eligibility Criteria

  • Gender: Only female candidates are eligible.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 35 years as of 01 July 2026.
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification is Intermediate (12th pass) or equivalent.
  • Residence: Candidate must be a permanent resident of the concerned Gram Panchayat or Ward.
  • Certificates: Income, caste, and residence certificates must be digitally issued by the competent authority.

Income Criteria for BPL and APL Categories

As per the Government Order dated 14 September 2025, the annual income limit for families under the poverty line is:

  • Rural areas – ₹46,080 per year
  • Urban areas – ₹56,460 per year

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted by the Anganwadi Selection Committee and approved by the District Magistrate. The process includes:

  1. Verification of eligibility and documents.
  2. Preparation of merit list based on educational marks.
  3. Preference order: BPL → Widow → Divorced/Abandoned → Other BPL Women.
  4. If no BPL candidate is available, preference will shift to APL → Widow → Divorced/Abandoned → Other APL Women.

Merit Calculation Formula

The merit score will be calculated using the following formula:

Merit = (Intermediate % + Graduation % + Post-Graduation %) / 10
