📢 The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu has announced recruitment for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the prestigious National Quantum Mission (NQM) project titled “Towards Trusted-node Free Hybrid Quantum Secure Communication Network (TAHQEECAT)”.
Position Overview
- 👤 Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- 📍 Location: IIT Jammu, Jagti Campus, J&K
- 💰 Salary: ₹37,000 + 18% HRA per month
- 📅 Duration: Initially 6 months, extendable based on performance and project needs
- 🔞 Age Limit: 28 years (relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PH candidates)
Research Specialization
The selected candidate will work on advanced areas including:
- Hardware-friendly algorithm design
- Digital VLSI architecture design
- FPGA-based system design
- ASIC chip design and tape-out
- Post-processing/signal processing for quantum key distribution systems
- Cryptography and digital signal processing
Eligibility Criteria
- M.E./M.Tech./MS(R) or equivalent in CSE/ECE/EE/Microelectronics/VLSI Design with 65% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PH).
- OR B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. in relevant disciplines with 65% marks.
- Must have qualified national eligibility tests such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or exams conducted by DST/DBT/DRDO/IITs/IISc etc.
- Preference for candidates with experience in Cryptography, DSP, FPGA design, Verilog/VHDL, and EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys).
