📢 The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai has announced recruitment for a Project Manager“Climate and Energy – Strengthening Capacities, Driving Innovation and Empowering Communities.”

Position Details

  • 👤 Post: Project Manager
  • 📍 Location: IIT Bhilai, Chhattisgarh (with field travel as required)
  • 💰 Salary: Up to ₹90,000 per month (consolidated)
  • 📅 Duration: Till 30 April 2027 (extendable based on project needs and performance)
  • 🔞 Age Limit: Maximum 40 years

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s/Postgraduate degree in Management, Development Studies, Education, Technology/Engineering, Rural Development, Public Policy, Social Work, Sustainability, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in project/programme management, governance, sustainability, climate resilience, WASH, education, or related areas.
  • Proven ability in planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong coordination skills with government departments, development partners, academic/research institutions, and other stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with government departments, multilateral agencies, CSR initiatives, or academic institutions.
  • Background in PMU/technical assistance projects or systems-strengthening initiatives.
  • Skills in proposal writing, project planning, monitoring frameworks, reporting, and documentation.
  • Experience in workshops, consultations, training programmes, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge in climate resilience, energy efficiency, WASH, sustainability, rural development, or governance.
  • Willingness for extensive field visits and stakeholder engagement.
