📋 Position Details – Director (DCC)

The Director will lead the DPSU Coordination Cell at IIT Kanpur, fostering long-term collaborative research between DPSUs and IIT Kanpur in science and engineering fields through M.Tech and PhD scholars.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification: Graduate degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent (essential). Postgraduate or higher degree in Engineering/Technology (desirable).
  • Experience: Retired officials from DPSUs at E-8/E-9 pay scale or equivalent Central Government Pay Level 14 and above. Professors/Scientists retired from IITs, CSIR, DRDO, ISRO, or analogous posts in Central Government. Must have relevant operational, technical, and managerial experience in defence production, R&D, technology management, or defence publications.

📅 Tenure and Age Limit

  • Tenure: Initial contract for 2 years, extendable up to 5 years or until 67 years of age, whichever is earlier.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 65 years as on the closing date (15 September 2026).

💰 Remuneration and Benefits

  • Fixed consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹2,00,000 (no increment during contract period).
  • TA/DA as per government rules applicable to the last post held.
  • Transport facility and reimbursement of internet/mobile expenses as per norms.
  • Accommodation at Kanpur as per AWEIL rules.
  • 30 days leave per calendar year.

  • Coordinate with DRDO, Armed Forces, industry experts, and other DPSUs.
  • Submit monthly performance reports and assist CMD in assigned tasks.
