The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu has invited applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate-III (RA-III) positions under the prestigious research project titled โDesign and Analysis of Nuclear Coupled Thermal-Hydraulic Behaviour of Liquid Metal Cooled Bharat Micro Modular Reactorโ. This project is sanctioned by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
๐ Position Details
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 01 post
- Research Associate-III (RA-III): 02 posts
- Specialization: Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Science & Engineering streams
- Duration: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years or till project completion
- Salary:
- JRF: โน37,000 + 20% HRA (1st & 2nd year), โน42,000 + 20% HRA (3rd year)
- RA-III: โน67,000 + 20% HRA
๐ Eligibility Criteria
For JRF
- M.Tech/M.E. in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering OR B.Tech/B.E. in the same streams with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
- Valid GATE/NET qualification preferred. Without GATE/NET, candidates may be considered as Project Associate-I with โน30,000 + 20% HRA.
For RA-III
- Ph.D. in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering with B.Tech/B.E. background.
- OR M.Tech/M.E. with 3 years of research/teaching/design experience and at least one SCI journal publication.
Desirable Skills
- Programming knowledge in C/C++, Python, FORTRAN
- Experience with CFD software (e.g., Ansys)
- Knowledge of physics-informed AI/ML
