SSC Notification: Examination City and Admission Certificate Details for Combined Hindi Translator and Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Exams 2026

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an important update regarding the Combined Hindi Translator Examination, 2026 (Tier-I) and the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2026 (Tier-I). This notification provides details about examination city information, admit card availability, and guidelines for candidates availing the ‘Own Scribe’ facility.

Examination Schedule and City Details

As per the official notice, the Combined Hindi Translator Examination, 2026 (Tier-I) will be held on 08 September 2026, while the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2026 (Tier-I) will be conducted from 09 September 2026 to 12 September 2026. Candidates can check their examination city details by logging into the designated module on the SSC website ssc.gov.in.

Availability of Admission Certificates

The Admission Certificates (Admit Cards) for these examinations will be available for download approximately two to three days before the respective exam dates. Candidates must access them through the SSC login module. Detailed instructions were earlier published in notices dated 23 April 2026 and 24 April 2026.

Guidelines for Candidates Availing Own Scribe Facility

SSC has introduced updated procedures for candidates opting for the ‘Own Scribe’ facility:

  • Fresh scribe registration is mandatory for all candidates, as registrations prior to 05 November 2025 have been disposed of.
  • Scribe registration is now integrated with Aadhaar Authentication, making Aadhaar verification compulsory.
  • Candidates must submit their scribe’s registration number to generate the Scribe Entry Pass.
  • The maximum permissible age limit for scribes will be as per the updated policy No. PP001/14/2024-PP (e-10280) dated 04 November 2025.

Important Deadlines for Scribe Mapping

Candidates opting for ‘Own Scribe’ must complete the mapping of their scribe’s One-Time Registration (OTR) within the following deadlines:

  • 06 September 2026 (11:00 PM): For Combined Hindi Translator Examination, 2026 (Tier-I).
  • 07 September 2026 (11:00 PM): For Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2026 (Tier-I).

Scribe Entry Passes will only be generated for candidates who successfully complete the mapping process within the stipulated time.
