๐ŸŽ“ Qualifications & Experience

Required Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in Python development.
  • Extensive experience with Python/JAVA for building scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Proven expertise with FastAPI or SpringBoot framework for productionโ€‘grade APIs.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with containerization tools like Docker & Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of cloud deployment environments, preferably AWS or Azure.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience deploying solutions on cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes or other container orchestrators.

Candidates with strong backend development expertise, cloud deployment knowledge, and microservices experience will be preferred for this role.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Dayโ€‘toโ€‘Day Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy REST APIs and backend microservices using Python/JAVA.
  • Collaborate regularly with product, frontโ€‘end, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Automate deployment pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and testing workflows.
  • Monitor system health, review logs, and plan capacity enhancements.
  • Document APIs, architecture design, and operational procedures for ongoing support.

The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in backend development, system reliability, and automation within the Smart Grid Control Centre project.
