📢 Rajasthan Service Rules Amendment Notification 2026 – Promotion Experience Relaxation

The Government of Rajasthan, Department of Personnel (A‑Gr.II) has issued a notification dated 17 August 2026 amending various service rules under the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India.

  • These rules are called the Rajasthan Various Service (1st Amendment) Rules, 2026.
  • Effective from 01 April 2026.
  • If vacant posts cannot be filled due to non‑availability of candidates with prescribed experience, a relaxation up to 2 years in required experience will be allowed for promotions in 2026‑27.
  • Where prescribed experience is 2 years, relaxation will be only 1 year.
  • This relaxation is available only to those who have not availed any relaxation during 2023‑24, 2024‑25, and 2025‑26.
  • No employee will be eligible for promotion during probation period.
  • Disputes regarding seniority in promotion lists will be referred to the Department of Personnel (A‑II).
