The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has invited applications for two Project Assistant positions under the project titled "Development of geoid augmented high-resolution DEM and its impact assessment for landslide susceptibility mapping". 🎓 Eligibility Criteria

📌 Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc / B.S).
📌 Desirable Skills:
- Experience or willingness to undertake field surveys (GNSS, gravity measurements, topographic data collection).
- Familiarity with GNSS receivers, gravimeters (e.g., CG-6), and other surveying instruments.
- Good physical fitness and readiness to travel extensively in hilly/mountainous terrain.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, spreadsheet management, data organization).

💼 Nature of Work & Responsibilities

Assist in conducting GNSS-levelling and gravity surveys in rugged terrains.
Travel extensively to project sites for data collection and ground truthing.
Compile and manage collected datasets, perform preliminary quality checks.
Coordinate field logistics, maintain equipment, and organize spatial datasets for DEM validation and landslide mapping.

📌 Salary: ₹20,000 + 20% HRA
