The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC), Patna has released Advertisement No.โฏ03/25 for the Main Examination of Field Assistant under the Agriculture Directorate. A total of 1005 candidates qualified in the preliminary exam held on 10 August 2025 are eligible to apply online for the main exam. Applications must be submitted between 22 October 2026 and 31 October 2026 via the official portal https://bssc.bihar.gov.in.

๐ฏ Eligibility & Certificates
- โ Candidates must upload all certificates claimed during preliminary application (Matriculation, Degree/Provisional, Caste, NonโCreamy Layer, EWS, Residence, Freedom Fighter descendant, Disability, Age relaxation, NOC etc.).
- ๐ Certificates must be valid up to 23 May 2025 (last date of preliminary application). Later issued certificates will not be accepted.
- ๐ซ Reservation category claimed in preliminary application cannot be changed.
- ๐ข Incorrect reservation claims will be treated as Unreserved category.
๐ Exam Pattern & Syllabus
- ๐ Two Papers in Main Exam:
- Paperโ1: Hindi (Qualifying) โ 100 questions, 2 hours 15 minutes, 4 marks per correct answer, 1 mark negative for wrong answers. Candidates must score at least 30% to qualify for Paperโ2 evaluation.
- Paperโ2: General Knowledge โ 150 questions, 2 hours 15 minutes, 4 marks per correct answer, 1 mark negative for wrong answers. Merit list will be prepared based on Paperโ2 marks.
- ๐ General Knowledge includes General Studies, Science & Mathematics, Current Affairs, Indian & Neighboring Countries, Constitution, Polity, Panchayati Raj, National Movement, Reasoning & Mental Ability.
