🎯 Job Description & Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement BEL’s R&D policy and strategy for technology development in Defence and Civil Electronics.
- Study market and technology trends globally and recommend product upgradation and innovation.
- Provide functional guidance to Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Unit Heads for technology planning and development.
- Coordinate with Defence R&D organizations, CSIR labs, research institutions and academia for collaborative development.
- Develop expertise and facilities at BEL’s Central Research Laboratories (CRL), Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and Product Development & Innovation Centre (PDIC).
- Promote indigenous solutions under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiative and address product obsolescence through start‑ups and MSMEs.
- Ensure creation and protection of Intellectual Property (IP) rights for BEL’s sustained growth.

- Post‑graduate qualification in AI/ML/Communication/Micro‑Electronics/Embedded Systems is desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Senior‑level technical/operational experience in a reputed organization.
- At least five years in the last ten years leading R&D projects of significance in AI, ML, Communication, Micro‑Electronics and Embedded Systems in the Defence sector.
