Note: ISTC (Including Short Term Contract) is a form of deputation where officers from universities, research institutions, PSUs, or other nongovernment bodies may be appointed temporarily and revert to their parent cadre after the contract period.

Eligibility & Essential Qualifications

Principal Scientific / Technical Officer (Research / ICT)

• Education: B.E./B.Tech. or M.Sc./MCA in relevant field with first class (60% or 6.5 CGPA).
• Experience: At least 15 years as Scientific/Technical Officer, with 8 years at Senior level (GP 7600 or equivalent).
• Age Limit: Up to 56 years.
• Relevant Fields: Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology (Research); Computer Science, IT (ICT).

Principal Students Activity & Sports (SAS) Officer

• Education: Masters in Physical Education or Sports Science with 60% marks.
• Experience: 15 years as SAS Officer, with 3 years as Senior SAS Officer (GP 8700/AGP 9000).
• Additional Requirements: Representation at interuniversity/state/national level competitions; qualifying nationallevel test; record of organizing student activities.
• Age Limit: Up to 56 years.

Senior Technical Officer (ICT)

• Education: B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT or MCA with first class.
• Experience: 10 years in Science/Technology/Research at Technical Officer level (GP 5400/6600).
• Age Limit: Up to 56 years.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in relevant field.

Assistant Registrar

• Education: Masters degree in any discipline with 55% marks.
• Experience: Holding analogous post in Govt./University/PSU.
• Age Limit: Up to 56 years.
• Desirable: Qualification in Management/Engineering/Law; experience in EOffice system.

Eligibility will be determined with reference to the last date of application submission (19August2026). Candidates must ensure they meet all essential criteria before applying.

Salary, Benefits & Appointment Terms

Salary & Pay Levels

• Principal Scientific / Technical Officer: 1,44,200/- (Level 14) + DA + allowances
• Principal SAS Officer: 1,44,200/- (Level 14) + DA + allowances
• Senior Technical Officer: 78,800/- (Level 12) + DA + allowances
• Assistant Registrar: 56,100/- (Level 10) + DA + allowances

• For deputation (ISTC), candidates will revert to their parent cadre after completion of the contract period.

• Only one application should be submitted per post. Separate applications and fees are required for multiple posts.
• Application Fee:
  • UR / OBCNCL / EWS: 1500
  • SC / ST / PwBD / Women (all categories): 750
• Fee is nonrefundable under any circumstances.
• Candidates applying under deputation (ISTC) must forward a selfattested hard copy of the application through proper channel to the Registrar, NIT Warangal 506004 within 30 days of closing date, along with APARs (last 5 years), vigilance clearance, and NOC.
• Applicants must upload a recent passportsize photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
• A valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory for communication regarding admit cards and interview schedules.

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending interviews/tests.
