Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), Assam Asset, has invited applications from qualified and experienced retired ONGC personnel from Production and Drilling disciplines for engagement as Junior Consultant and Associate Consultant on a contractual basis. Junior Consultant 05 Retired ONGC employees up to E3 level may apply. In case of non‑availability of sufficient E3–E5 level candidates, E6 level retirees may be considered with E5 level remuneration upon written consent. ₹ 40,000 per month (all inclusive) + ₹ 2,000 (maximum) for communication facilities.

📢 ONGC reserves the right to vary the number of positions depending on availability of eligible applicants. The remuneration package is inclusive of service tax, borne by the individual.

🗓️ Period of Engagement & Terms

  • 📅 Engagement Period: Two years (initially one year, extendable by one year based on performance and requirement).
  • 🏥 Subject to medical fitness certified by ONGC Medical Authority.
  • 🚫 Not eligible for any other benefits, allowances, or incentives admissible to regular employees.
  • 🕒 Duty Pattern: Round‑the‑clock shift (12‑hour duty) on Charter hired / O&M operated Work Over Rigs in Assam Asset.
  • 📄 Leave: One day earned leave per completed month of duty (2 days for competent person due to on/off nature of duty). No encashment allowed.
  • 📢 Engagement may be terminated by either side with one‑month notice without assigning any reason.
  • 🏠 Consultants must arrange their own stay in Assam Asset area.
  • 💰 Annual increment of 5% on monthly honorarium may be granted for extension to second year subject to satisfactory performance.
  • 🚫 No claim for regular employment in ONGC shall be entertained.
  • 📄 80% of monthly honorarium will be paid monthly; remaining 20% after performance assessment at end of tenure.
  • 📉 Absence will lead to deduction of daily honorarium for the entire period of absence.

⚙️ Roles & Responsibilities During Duty

  • 🔧 Supervise all activities related to Work Over operations in round‑the‑clock shift pattern.
  • 🧰 Inspect installation and equipment to ensure safe working condition.
  • 📋 Oversee installation, running, and maintenance of machinery in the unit.
  • ⚖️ Ensure compliance with Oil Mines Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and statutory guidelines.
  • 📑 Maintain CHSE documentation and daily activity reports.
  • 🏗️ Coordinate rig deployment, site preparation, pipe tally, and completion reports with Installation Manager and other departments.
  • 📢 Perform any other duties as required by DCMS or statutory authorities.
