๐ Eligibility Criteria
- โ Retired Scientist-G / Scientist-F / Outstanding Scientist / Director / Associate Director or above from DRDO or national R&D labs.
- โ Minimum 20 years of experience in sonar system design, development, user trials, and integration.
- โ Expertise in underwater acoustics, sonar equations, range prediction, and integration with naval platforms.
- โ Age limit: Maximum 65 years as on 01 September 2026.
- โ Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics Engineering. Preference for M.Tech/PhD holders.
๐ Roles & Responsibilities
The Advisor will provide guidance in the design and development of sonar systems, including:
- ๐ Defining system requirements and configurations.
- ๐ Guiding design of transducer arrays, electronics, and signal processing subsystems.
- ๐ Reviewing algorithms, hardware/software integration, and documentation.
- ๐ Supervising field trials, environmental testing, and user evaluations.
- ๐ Suggesting new technologies and projects for future requirements.
โ๏ธ Terms of Engagement
- ๐ Initial tenure: 1 year, extendable annually up to 8 years or until age 68.
- ๐ Hybrid work mode: Minimum 8 working days per month at BEL Bengaluru unit, rest from residence.
- ๐ Termination: One monthโs notice or remuneration in lieu of notice.
- ๐ TA/DA and accommodation as per BEL rules.
