📚 Eligibility Criteria & Selection Process
👩🏫 Eligibility for Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers)
- Only women candidates aged between 18 and 37 years are eligible (age calculated as on 01 January 2026).
- The candidate must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
- She must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located. Her name in the voter list will be considered proof of residence.
- If her name appears in the voter list along with her parents, she must submit an unmarried certificate issued by the Tehsildar.
- Minimum educational qualification: 10+2 (Intermediate).
- Maximum educational qualification: Graduation. Candidates with higher qualifications will not be considered.
- Preference of 2 percent extra marks will be given if the candidate belongs to the family of a retired Anganwadi Worker/Helper.
- Selection will be based purely on academic merit (10+2 marks). There will be no interview.
- In case of a tie in marks, the candidate with higher age will be preferred.
👩🍳 Eligibility for Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers)
- Only married women aged between 18 and 37 years are eligible (as on 01 January 2026).
- The candidate must be a domicile of J&K and a resident of the same ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated.
- Minimum qualification: Matriculation (10th class).
- If no matriculate candidate is available, those with at least 8th standard qualification may be considered.
- Preference will be given to the most needy or destitute married women of the ward.
- Selection will be made purely on merit and eligibility as per government guidelines.
⚖️ Selection Process
- Selection will be done according to Government Order No. 222‑JK (SWD) of 2022 and Order No. 103‑JK (SWD) of 2023.
- There will be no written test or interview; selection is based on academic merit and eligibility verification.
