Pay & Engagement

The post of Clerk (Job Trainee) carries a consolidated fixed honorarium of ₹12,500/- per month. Engagement will be governed by the Job Trainee Policy 2025 notified by the Department of Personnel, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 45 years (as on 01 January 2026)
  • Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex‑servicemen and employees of Himachal Pradesh Government (domiciles of HP).

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • Typing Speed: Minimum 30 words per minute in English OR 25 words per minute in Hindi on computer.

Desirable Qualification

  • Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the state.

Other Conditions

  • Candidates must be registered on the One Time Registration (OTR) portal before filling the Online Recruitment Application (ORA).
  • Eligibility will be determined as on the closing date of application i.e. 11 September 2026.
  • Bonafide Himachalis are exempted from the condition of passing Matriculation/10+2 from institutions within Himachal Pradesh.

Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test – 120 marks, duration 1.5 hours.
  • Stage 2: Typing Skill Test – qualifying in nature (30 wpm English OR 25 wpm Hindi on computer).
  • Final selection will be based on merit‑cum‑performance in CBT and qualifying typing test.
