This notification is for the Forensic Science Laboratory, Combined Cadre, Main Examination. The Advertisement Number is 15-Exam/2026. These posts are divided into four groups based on subject:

  • โš›๏ธ Physics Group: For students who studied Physics, Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics, Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
  • ๐Ÿงช Chemistry Group: For students who studied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Forensic Science with Chemistry.

For Scientific Assistant Post:

  • ๐Ÿ”น Biology Group: B.Sc. from a recognized university with Biology or Forensic Science with Biology as main subject. You should have studied Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell Biology, Microbiology, or Bio-technology.
  • ๐Ÿ”น Physics Group: B.Sc. from a recognized university with Physics or Forensic Science with Physics. Special subject should be Physics, Forensic Science, Applied Physics, Electronics. OR B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics Engineering, Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
  • ๐Ÿ”น Chemistry Group: B.Sc. from a recognized university with Chemistry or Forensic Science with Chemistry. Special subject should be Chemistry or Biochemistry.

You will get extra preference if you have:

  • ๐Ÿ’ป Higher qualification in Computer Science for Computer group.

  • ๐Ÿ“ Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • ๐Ÿ“ Maximum Age: 40 Years
  • ๐Ÿ“… Age will be counted as on 1 July 2026.
  • โ™ป๏ธ Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC and other reserved categories will get age relaxation as per UP Government rules. For example, OBC gets 3 years relaxation, SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation as per rules.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ D. Nationality and Domicile ๐Ÿ 

  • ๐ŸŒ You must be a citizen of India.
  • ๐Ÿ  If you are from Uttar Pradesh, you can get reservation benefit. You must have UP domicile certificate.
  • ๐Ÿšซ If you are from outside UP, you will be treated as General category. You cannot get reservation benefit.

๐Ÿ“ E. PET 2025 is Compulsory โ€“ Very Important Rule โš ๏ธ

๐Ÿ”ฅ Only students who have appeared in UPSSSC PET 2025 and have a score card can apply. This is compulsory. Without PET 2025, you cannot apply.

  • ๐Ÿ“Š Your shortlisting for Main Exam will be based on your PET 2025 normalized score. Merit list will be made based on PET score.
  • โŒ If you got zero or negative marks in PET 2025, you will not be shortlisted for Main Exam.
  • ๐Ÿ” If your PET 2025 result is marked as Under Investigation or Provisional, you can still apply. But your final selection will depend on final decision of investigation.

๐Ÿ“ Selection Process โ€“ How Will You Be Selected? ๐Ÿ†

Selection will be done as per UP Government rules. There is no interview for these posts.

Selection Steps:

  1. โœ… Step 1 โ€“ PET 2025 Score Based Shortlisting: First, UPSSSC will shortlist students based on PET 2025 score.
  2. โœ๏ธ Step 2 โ€“ Main Written Exam: Shortlisted students will give Main Written Exam. This exam will have 100 questions, 100 marks, and time will be 2 hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  3. ๐Ÿ“„ Step 3 โ€“ Document Checking: After Main Exam, merit list will be made. Selected students will be called for document checking. You must show all original certificates.
  4. ๐ŸŽ‰ Step 4 โ€“ Final Merit List and Job Joining: After document checking, final list will be published and you will get appointment letter.

๐Ÿšซ No Interview: As per UP Government order dated 31 August 2017, there will be no interview for Group C posts. Selection will be only on written exam marks.

You can apply only online. No offline form will be accepted. Follow these steps carefully.

๐ŸŒ Step 1 โ€“ Go to Official Website

Open your mobile or computer browser and go to upsssc.gov.in. On homepage, click on Live Advertisement Segment and find Advertisement No. 15-Exam/2026 and download the notification to read.

๐Ÿ” Step 2 โ€“ Login with PET Registration Number

On homepage, go to Applicant Segment and click on Applicant Authentication or Login Through PET Registration Number. Enter your PET 2025 registration number. You will get OTP on your registered mobile number and email that you used in PET 2025. Enter OTP and login.

๐Ÿ“‹ Step 3 โ€“ Fill Application Form

After login, your personal details from PET 2025 will be shown automatically โ€“ like your name, father name, mother name, domicile, category, EWS, date of birth, gender, mobile, email etc. Check them carefully.

Then you will see the list of posts. You must select the post or posts you want to apply for by ticking the box. If you do not select, your form for that post will not be accepted.

After selecting posts, you have to choose Yes or No for having required education qualification. Then enter board or university name, year of passing, certificate number, date of issue, and marks details.

Enter the verification code shown on screen and click Submit. Your application form with 11-digit registration number will be shown. Save it and take printout for safety.

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Step 4 โ€“ Photo and Signature

Your photo and signature that you uploaded in PET 2025 will be shown automatically. You cannot change photo or signature in this form. See it and click Continue.

๐Ÿ“ Step 5 โ€“ Post Preference and Other Details

Now you have to give your post preference order โ€“ which post you like most, second most etc. Also choose Yes or No for preferential qualification like M.Sc., NCC etc. Your address from PET 2025 will be shown automatically.

โœ”๏ธ Step 6 โ€“ Declaration

Read the declaration given at bottom of page carefully. If you agree with all points, tick all checkboxes, enter verification code and click Save and Submit. After this, fee payment page will open.

โš ๏ธ Check all details once again before final submit. After final submit, you can still correct some details till 24 August 2026.

๐Ÿ’ณ Fee Details and How to Pay Fee? ๐Ÿ’ฐ

  • ๐Ÿ’ต Application Fee: Rs. 0 for all categories (General, OBC, SC, ST) โ€“ No application fee is charged.
  • ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Online Processing Fee: Rs. 25 for all categories.
  • ๐Ÿงพ Total Fee to Pay: Rs. 25 only.
  • ๐Ÿ“Œ For Freedom Fighter Dependent, Ex-Serviceman, Women, Handicapped, Sports Person โ€“ fee will be same as per their original category.
  • ๐Ÿ’ณ How to Pay: You can pay fee using Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or SBI E-Challan. Follow instructions given on website.
  • ๐Ÿ”„ After Payment: After successful payment, your application will be submitted automatically and form will be shown on screen. Download and print it.
  • ๐Ÿ” If Form Not Shown After Payment: It means fee matching is pending. Go to Homepage, Applicant Segment, click on Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification. Enter your registration number of this advertisement, login, click Verify Transaction ID button, and then download your form.
  • โŒ If Payment Fails: Payment Acknowledgment Receipt (PAR) will be shown. Again go to Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification, login, and go to Application Fee Deposition option to pay again.
  • ๐Ÿฆ For E-Challan: Download SBI E-Challan from website, pay in any SBI branch, then fill details via Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification to match fee.

๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Print Form and Check Status ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ

After fee payment and matching, your application will be submitted. You must download and print your form. You will need it at time of document checking. You can check status and print form again anytime by going to Applicant Dashboard and login with PET 2025 registration number.

โœ๏ธ How to Correct Mistakes in Form? ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

After final submit, you can still correct some details in your form. For correction, go to Homepage, Applicant Segment, Applicant Dashboard and login with PET 2025 registration number. You can correct allowed fields till last date of correction 24 August 2026. But photo, signature and some core details from PET cannot be changed.

๐Ÿ“œ Reservation and Certificate Rules ๐Ÿ“‘

  • ๐Ÿท๏ธ Reservation Benefit for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Freedom Fighter Dependent, Ex-Serviceman, Handicapped, Women, Sports Person will be given as per UP Government rules. But only UP domicile students can get this benefit.
  • ๐Ÿ“œ Caste Certificate: Must be in prescribed format given in advertisement appendix and on website. It must be issued by competent authority and must be issued on or before last date of application 17 August 2026. You must show it when asked.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ EWS Certificate: If you want EWS reservation, you must have EWS certificate issued between 01 April 2026 to 17 August 2026. It should be based on income of Financial Year 2025-26 and valid for Financial Year 2026-27. It must be in format given by UP Government Personnel Department-2 GO No. 3/2019/4/1/2002/ka-2/19 T.C.-II dated 14 March 2019 (see para 11.15 of notification).
  • โ™ฟ PH Reservation: As per UP Government rules for physically handicapped reservation in direct recruitment.
  • ๐Ÿ… Sports Person Reservation: As per UP Government Department Rules 2022 for outstanding sports person, notified vide notification No. 3/47/ka-2/2022 dated 07 January 2022.
